President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will be in hot soup should National Super Alliance (NASA) win in August.
The opposition co-principal Moses Wetang’ula has said that all contracts done under Jubilee will be reviewed regardless of the country involved. Speaking in his home county of Bungoma, Senator Wetang’ula said that NASA is committed to eradicating suffering caused by Jubilee’s poor governance.
“I want to put the Jubilee Party on notice that as NASA Government, we will review and abrogate all contracts they have signed with other countries without sufficient justification and those found on fraudulent considerations,” Wetang’ula said as quoted by Standard.
The senator also warned the President against uncontrolled borrowing. He said they are risking rendering Kenya bankrupt.
“As a country, we cannot continue to borrow endlessly even at the disregard of sound advice from international partners like World Bank,” he said.
The Independent, Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) debate was also another issue Wetang’ula addressed. He confirmed that opposition’s worry is the manner in which Jubilee party is micromanaging the institution.
DP William Ruto was also told to reconsider his criticism of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. The senator reminded Ruto to think about his (Ruto’s) daughter who is a deputy ambassador in Rome before attacking the innocent Kennedy Musyoka who was nominated to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
