Speaking on Radio Jambo on Saturday, three days after his Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga met Gideon and his father, former President Daniel Moi at their Kabarak home in Nakuru, Aladwa noted that the Senator risks never ascending to the throne.

He termed Moi as a weak leader who is yet to demonstrate the courage to occupy the seat which was under his father for 24 years, until his dethronement in 2002.

''Gideon Moi should not be included in the debate for the pending presidential race. He lacks the courage to lead in that capacity and is yet to take any move towards the post,'' said Aladwa.

The lawmaker further downplayed the ongoing national excitement regarding the meeting, noting that it was a simple visit that is unlikely to result into any major political outcome.

''There is absolutely nothing wrong when Odinga and the former President meet. Moi is already out of politics and his engagement with the former Prime Minister should not be debated as is the case. It was a simple a friendly visit,'' he added.
