ODM National Treasurer Timothy Bosire has condemned an alleged attack on journalists allied to local media by unknown youths at Wiper headquarters.

The reporters had camped outside outside the premises in which NASA Parliamentary Group was ongoing.

"We are yet to know what transpired but as a coalition, we strongly condemn the act and those responsible must be punished," said the former Kitutu Masaba MP.

Sources say the reporters who were attacked are believed to be leaning towards government, something that precipitated the irate youths to attack them.

Through his spokesman Dennis Onyango, opposition leader Raila Odinga has also condemned the incident terming it 'uncalled for'.

"We wish to make it clear that the said youths acted on their own and we condemn their actions in strongest terms possible. The coalition registers unreserved apology to reporters," read the statement.

And the unprecedented incident is said to have delayed a 'major' announcement that Odinga is set to make public over the controversial repeat presidential election.
