ODM leader Raila Odinga broke a rare record in the historical Kitale Posta grounds after attracting a mammoth crowd compared to previous outings.

The NASA team is on a four days to Western region, a place considered to be their stronghold despite Jubilee forays.

But in reference to his historical counts, Odinga hailed locals for turning up in large numbers adding that it was an indication of growing urge for change.

“I have been here several times since 1992 but I have never seen such a crowd. This is an indication that people are tired with this incompetent regime,” he said in reference to his trips since pluralism struggles.

He added: “If my comrades like Martin Shikuku and Alexander Muge were alive, they would have witnessed this occasion.”

During pluralism, Odinga with other Kenyans of good will among them Siaya senator James Orengo held several meeting across the country.

The veteran leader urged his supporters to turn in large numbers and vote him in August as he prepares to face President Uhuru Kenyatta for the second time in as many years.
