Opposition leader Raila Odinga broke yet again another record in Western Kenya under three days’ moments after attracting a mammoth crowd in Bungoma on Friday.
The opposition team wrapped up its four days tour to the vote rich Western region on Sunday with a handful of promises should they take over.
But it’s the turnout in Busia that thrilled Odinga who was in the company of his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
“I have come in Busia many times but I have never seen such a miracle. Our people are yearning for change,” Odinga said.
“I will never forget this moment. The good people of Busia have joined other Kenyans in quest for good leadership,” added Odinga.
Although it is considered an opposition stronghold, Jubilee party has been making inroads with President Uhuru Kenyatta touring the region recently.
Both Ababu Namwamba and Kenneth Lusaka have been tasked to spearhead Jubilee campaigns in the region which overwhelmingly voted for Odinga in 2013 polls.
