A defiant opposition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday dismissed Ex – Funyula MP Paul Otuoma’s exit from NASA as ‘insignificant’ adding that he would not duel on the matter.
A host of Western leaders who lost in August 8th elections among them Otuoma, a former ODM Vice Chairman have since joined President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party.
At a rally in Busia, Odinga insisted that he would rather allow area governor Sospeter Ojaamong to handle Otuoma’s jibes directed to him.
“I have heard people like Otuoma attacking me for no good reason. I will not waste my time responding to him,” he said, amid cheers from his supporters.
He added:”I have directed Ojamoong to handle him because he beat him badly during elections. I don’t think his move will affect us in any manner.”
Prior to his defection, a disgruntled Otuoma accused Odinga of ‘failing to defend him when he was constantly under attack from a section of ODM leaders.
He unsuccessfully contested Busia governorship in August, a few months after resigning from ODM to run as an independent candidate.
