NASA leader Raila Odinga has appealed to the international community to intervene to help end the unfolding political crisis in the country.
Speaking at Nairobi Hospital after paying Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch a visit, Mr. Odinga bemoaned the violence meted out to his supporters.
''Instead of the president and his deputy apologising they are in fact continuing to incite people. This basically shows that we need international intervention. We are dealing with people who just came back from the Hague the other day and they are ready to take this country back to the Hague... The international community must intervene at this stage and help to move this country from the precipice...'' Odinga said.
Odinga's strong words come in the wake of a worsening political crisis that threatens to shatter Kenya's reputation as an island of calm in a sea of turbulence.
