The National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday officially declared himself the ‘President of the Republic of Kenya’ moments after his controversial ‘swearing in.’

After taking the controversial oath at Uhuru Park at 2 pm, Odinga changed his Twitter bio, shortly after, declaring himself the president of Kenya which read: "This is the official account of The Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, President of the Republic of Kenya.”

Odinga, who has about 1.66 million followers on Twitter, took the oath of office as the People's President, a ceremony that his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, and two co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula skipped.

The oath was administered by High Court advocate and Ruaraka legislator T.J Kajwang and Miguna Miguna.

Moments after changing the bio, Odinga again changed it to the People's President, with users saying he could have received red flag imposter warning from Twitter, that he was not the President of the Republic of Kenya.
