NASA presidential candidate Raila odinga says he will emulate Tanzanian president John Magufuli in fight against corruption should he take over in August.
In a rematch of 2013 elections, Odinga is facing President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee in yet another bruising battle.
And on Thursday in Kitale, Odinga hailed Magufuli on fight against corruption adding that he was a good role model to African leadership.
“One I take over, we shall ensure that all loopholes of corruption are sealed. I will introduce ‘Magufulification’,” said Odinga in reference to Magufuli’s fight against graft.
He added:” I will ensure police are properly paid and housed. All civil servants must adhere to the law and that is what Magufuli has done in Tanzania.”
Although liked by many, Magufuli’s style of leadership has however been subjected to scrutiny by a host of civil rights groups in Tanzania.
Odinga 72 will be trying his forth and perhaps the last stab at presidency following three unsuccessful attempts.
