Cord principal Raila Odinga has condoled Likuyani MP Enoch Kibunguchy over the death of his mother Mama Dina Nasiku Kibunguchy and uncle Mr Hillary Wafula.
In a statement to newsrooms on Wednesday, Odinga said his thoughts as well as those of the Cord fraternity are with the MP as he mourns the death of his loved ones.
“It is sad for one to lose a beloved one. It is sadder to lose two beloved ones in a span of two days. I share in the grief and sorrow that the Kibunguchy family is going through during this time of mourning,” read the statement in part.
Odinga termed Mrs Kibunguchy as a development minded lady, saying she has left behind a rich entrepreneurial legacy of a woman who was determined to make it in life despite all odds.
“I have known Mama Dina for many years as an illustrious and development minded lady. She established her business empire in Webuye town leading to the naming of the area where she operated as Kwa Dina,” said Odinga.
Odinga said he hopes the Lord brings Kibunguchy and his family the much-needed peace during this sad time.
