Exclusive video aired by NTV shows a chrematistic opposition leader Raila Odinga declining to be sheltered by an aide at Jacaranda grounds on Sunday during a rally.

Earlier, the ODM leader had submitted his papers alongside those of his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka to IEBC before proceeding to a mega rally.

And despite heavy rains, Odinga had to reject sheltering from heavy rains perhaps in solidarity with his supporters who had endured heavy rains to listen to their leaders.

With only three months to elections, Odinga said his government will prioritize in fixing the economy of the country by fighting corruption among other vices facing the country.

“As your Joshua, I will work with my able friend Musyoka to ensure that the economy recovers. We shall flush out corrupt fellows.

“Prices of basic goods should come down because we have a plan of ensuring productivity among Kenyans. Insecurity is also a major concern and we shall fix it,” he added.

The unique occasion was the first one given that he again declined to shelter from heavy rains a fought night ago at Kisii when he was addressing a multitude.
