Homa Bay County Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has backed opposition leader Raila Odinga's endorsement of the Jubilee government’s Big-4 agenda.
Addressing workers during Labour Day celebrations in Uhuru Park on Tuesday, Odinga said that he and his National Super Alliance (NASA) block will rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in implementing the agenda revolving around healthcare, housing, food security, and industrialization.
Speaking on Citizen's Power Breakfast Wednesday, Wanga defended Odinga who has since softened his heart towards Jubilee following his March 9 truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to her, the move demonstrates the former Premier's good intentions for the nation.
She lauded the move, observing that it will facilitate the unity of members of both blocks in addressing the content of the agenda, noting that the same will bring out the maximum benefit and quick results.
''It is laudable that NASA has agreed to join hands with Jubilee in realizing the agenda. This will see each side contribute to implementing the agenda, therefore bettering the outcome,'' said the leader.
She further hailed the growing friendship between Odinga and Kenyatta saying that it will improve working conditions in parliament.
''We will now have a more sober parliament where issues are approached basing on their importance and not in line with party leaders' instructions,'' she added.
