Raila Odinga has sensationally denied ever labeling President Uhuru Kenyatta a ‘drunkard’ and Deputy President William Ruto a thief in his political gatherings.
He was answering a question filed by one of Presidential debate moderators on Monday night who asked about his relationship with the president.
And in a response to the question, Odinga rubbished his own utterances as ‘political’ jokes which he normally uses to captivate his followers.
“I don’t remember calling Uhuru a drunkard and Ruto a thief. I think that could be a perception of the media because we have good relationship.
“Sometimes we should learn to distinguish political jokes from serious businesses. I have often heard them calling me a mad man but I know they don’t mean it,” he said amid laughter.
More often than not, Odinga has usually cautioned Kenyans against electing the two leaders basing his argument on their alleged inability to lead.
