Opposition chief Raila Odinga has dismissed Interior Coordination Cabinet Secretary’s Joseph Nkaissery unprecedented ban of his campaign slogan as ‘hogwash’.
On Wednesday, Nkaissery said the use of ‘10Million strong’ slogan by the opposition threatens integration and peaceful coexistence.
But when verifying his voting details at Kibra on Thursday, Odinga said the slogan was invented based on research by the campaign team which estimated its score in August elections.
“Nkaissery’s remarks are hogwash and do not need any scrutiny. He is drunk with power and should know we are not mad to come with such a slogan because it is what we are likely to score.
“He is a public servant and should desist from engaging in politics or rethink going back to military for readmission,” added Odinga.
Prior to his appointment to cabinet, the former Kajiado Central MP had served in parliament courtesy of Odinga’s ODM party.
Shockingly, his leadership has been met with resistance from his former colleagues who accuse him on arbitrary violation of internal laws.
