Former Prime Minister was on Thursday full of praises to Turkana governor Josphat Nanok, who also doubles as Chair of Council of Governors.
Odinga was meeting a host of elected officials from the vast county at his Upper hill offices and is said to have briefed the leaders about the current Supreme Court case.
And in his briefing, Odinga said the pioneer governor has stood with his people by showing servant leadership hence his reelection.
“I have never doubted his ability and loyalty and he is the kind of a person you will always want to work with. I am sure that contributed to his reelection,” he said.
“For that region to develop fully, its time now that we embarked on serious support on devolved governance. He has done before and I am happy he will push for it.”
Turkana County is one of few Rift Valley regions that fully supported Odinga’s bid and produced most elected members on ODM party.
Earlier this year, Nanok had some nasty exchanges with President Uhuru Kenyatta over Revenue Share from the famous Turkana Oil.
