Youthful Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi would after all take charge of Kajiado County as chief point’s man for opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Considered a swing region, the past two elections has seen both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Odinga flex muscle in contest for over 300, 000 votes.
And with immediate former governor David Nkedienye warming for Jubilee, Odinga has been working closely with Memusi, a two term fierce MP.
“Do not worry about the defectors because jubilee has set aside some funds to facilitate it,” said Odinga, when he hosted Maasai leaders on Monday.
A confident Odinga added:” Even Memusi can still do the job. We only want committed fellows who believe in change and can coordinate with ordinary people.”
Also, Odinga is working closely with ODM chair of elections Judith Pareno, who is also a nominated senator.
Nkedienye has not come out publically about his intentions but his successor, Joseph Lenku, has hinted about the move.
