Deputy President William Ruto has sensationally claimed that opposition leader Raila Odinga never sat for national exams anywhere throughout his life.
Recently, Odinga said the country should first deal with the election issues adding that students who are set to sit for national exams should be kept on hold for some time.
And at Uhuru Park on Saturday, Ruto accused Odinga of allegedly sabotaging education system since he ‘never sat for national exams’.
“Anybody who ever sat for exams can tell how painful it is to have exams postponed. Whoever trying to have exams postponed does not have the interest of children.
“I know because Odinga never went to any class that is why he is not caring. I challenge him to produce papers if indeed he went to school,” he said.
His claims my not hold water given that Odinga has worked as a public servant in the University of Nairobi and Kenta Bureau of Statistics.
On his part, Odinga says IEBC should be given humble time to prepare for elections by cleaning the system that oversaw elections which were abandoned.
