President Uhuru Kenyatta claims that his main challenger Raila Odinga is panning violence by failing to preach peace during his campaigns.

Just a day before Uhuru’s Murang’a tour, Odinga was under pressure from various state agencies following remarks that he made in a rally at Kajiado where he challenged Maasai’s not to sell land to outsiders.

On Wednesday, Uhuru said he was ready to accept verdict of Kenyans at the ballot and challenged Odinga to make a similar pledge.

“As Jubilee, we are ready to accept the verdict of Kenyans. My competitor has never even mentioned anywhere that he will accept the outcome.

“He is only keen to bring disharmony in the country by crying foul all the time. This is a mature democracy and time has come for him to live in the present,” said Uhuru.

Earlier, Odinga had hinted going to court to challenge printing of ballot papers by a Dubai based company which he claims is a ‘friend’ to government.

Kenyatta, who is seeking a reelection, is on a one week tour to Central and Upper Eastern regions barely a week after opposition toured the region.
