Charles Geni says opposition leader Raila Odinga is at pole position to beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in August elections.
Although the ODM leader is yet to be named opposition NASA flag bearer, sources indicate that he is set to be unveiled in late March.
And on Thursday, the North Mugirango MP urged other opposition principals to support Odinga’s bid due to his ‘coordinated’ network across the country.
“We all know who can beat Kenyatta and Kenyans are tired. I urge other opposition leaders to support Raila because he is well coordinated across the country,” said Geni.
He added: “Sometimes it takes sacrifice for such things and we have to liberate this nation. My humble prayer is that they endorse him.”
Odinga, who has unsuccessfully run for presidency thrice, would be the oldest among all contestants should he get the NASA ticket.
Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula have expressed their interest in the NASA ticket.
