Opposition leader Raila Odinga has accused the government over perpetual 'intimidation' targeting NASA MPs and supporters.
Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang and his Embakasi East counterpart were arrested by the police on Thursday under unclear circumstances and are held at Kilimani Police Station.
Through his spokesman Dennis Onyango, Odinga has demanded immediate release of the two legislators adding that he may take unspecified actions against the state.
"It has come to my attention that the government has again arrested MPs without clear reason. I demand that they are released immediately," read the statement.
He added: "These are clear signs that Jubilee regime is panicking. Kenya is not a banana republic and I demand respect to my supporters."
On Friday, the opposition team has vowed to match to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to welcome Odinga, who is currently in London.
Police have since banned opposition supporters from accessing JKIA but Odinga insists that the plans will go on as communicated.
