Former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar says a combination of opposition leader Raila Odinga and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is dangerous and unacceptable.
The former Wiper legislator, who quit opposition after August 8th polls, has since pledged to work with Jubilee party, two months after losing governorship quest.
And at a rally on Sunday, Omar took a swipe on his political mentor cum enmity Raila Odinga, by accusing him of imposing ‘bad’ leadership on people of Mombasa.
“I have come here just because of Mombasa people. Odinga has no interest of our people and that is why he is imposing bad leadership on us,” he said, in indirect reference to Joho.
Omar further said:” An Odinga presidency and Joho as governor is dangerous to the people of Kenya. I wonder why Odinga never see dirt whenever he comes to Mombasa.”
Few days to August polls, the two Mombasa politicians almost went physical with Omar accusing Odinga of failing to restrain Joho.
He has since filed a petition to challenge election of Joho and has maintained that the county will go for a by election.
