[Photo|Ochieng Owili]NASA leader Raila Odinga has arrived in Kisumu.Odinga landed in the former Nyanza Province County on Friday morning in preparation for the Kakamega region People's Assembly grand launch scheduled for Sunday this week.Upon arrival at the Kisumu International Airport, Odinga was received by Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng Owili, EALA MP Oburu Odinga, former Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga and Bob Madanji among other leaders."It's my pleasure to welcome you to the Great County of Kisumu," said Owili.On Thursday, People's Assembly steering committee said the NASA coalition would on Sunday, January 7 head to Western Kenya to continue with people-driven initiative to ensure electoral justice and self-determination in the country. "This event will be a continuation of what started at the Coast on Sunday 17 December 2017, when the region set in motion the People’s Assembly process."In a statement, the committee said the other regions will convene similar forums in the course of this month and that the end result will be the inaugural National People’s Convention at a date the people themselves shall decide."Through these People’s Assemblies, we are breathing life into the foundation of our Constitution, namely the Supremacy of the Constitution and Sovereignty of the People.""We wish to reiterate our New Year message, we remind NASA supporters to always remember that cruel rulers have never defeated determined people," read the statement in part.
