Governor Ali Hassan Joho hosted Odinga for Iftar dinner at Serani grounds where he continued to emphasize the role of building bridges amongst all the citizens.

Odinga wished all the Muslims the best as they observe Ramadhan, saying: "I would like to wish all Muslims the very best as they continue with fasting and other acts of worship in the Islamic holy month. Ramadhan Mubarak and Saum Maqbul."

"I wish to say that during this holy month of Ramadhan, it is our duty to spread the message of unity and harmony amongst all the people that live in this country," added Joho.

Flanked by his Deputy William Kingi, Mvita MP Sharrif Nassir Abduswamad alongside other local leaders, Joho supported Raila's proposed constitutional amendments ahead of the 2022 general elections.

"I also wish to remind all of us, that for our unity to last, and in order for us to avoid divisive elections in the future, it is important that we relook at the clauses in our constitution that serve to divide us. May God bless you all," he told Muslim faithful during the Iftar.
