Deputy President William Ruto has denied that there was an agreement for dialogue during last week's State House luncheon meeting with the opposition leaders over the IEBC stalemate.

Instead, Ruto said that he was ashamed to say that Odinga lied about proposals that each party present five people to spearhead conversations on the push to have the electoral commissioners ejected.

"Our meeting did not even last 10 minutes. I am so ashamed that a leader can swear on a lie. There was no agreement," he said in an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday.

Ruto maintained a strong stand that dialogue could only be done in Parliament and within the law.

Meanwhile, Cord has threatened to increase the number of demonstrations to two days a week if President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy do not heed their calls to have dialogue outside parliament.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery on Tuesday said that the state would not allow further demonstrations by Cord since they had led to loss of lives and destruction of property.
