Opposition leader Raila Odinga has likened Jubilee administration to Satan following its efforts to woo voters and leaders allied to opposition through bribery.
Odinga who was addressing Wiper Democratic Movement delegates at Kasarani on Tuesday, Raila accused the government of oppressing leaders allied to opposition by compelling them to join government.
“Like Stan, Jubilee has roamed, looking for people to confuse and buy. They thought they would break our unity through humiliation and insults that would make us lie low and retire from politics hence allow them to loot and plunder the country in peace,” he said.
“That is what Satan thought that after afflicting Job with many tribulations, taking all oxen, sheep and killings his sons would make him give up on his grand mission,” he added.
He laughed off Jubilee government’s attempt to ‘buy’ opposition leaders in a bid to crumble the opposition before 2017 elections.
“When they rigged themselves into power in 2013, they thought five years is an eternity and lifetime and by the time another election comes, opposition would have dismantled,” he said.
