A section of professionals from Gusii community have hailed the ODM party following appointment of Alice Moraa as County Executive in Kisumu County government.
Equally, the association under Erastus Mwencha have questioned the decision by nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui to give Gusii community a wide berth in similar appointments.
"Raila through Prof Anyang Nyong'o has shown how he views Kenyans as equals. This is a good step towards bringing communities together," he said.
At Nakuru, the claimed, Nakuri West MP Samuel Arama was widely voted by members of ODM party despitre contesting on Jubilee ticket.
According to them, President Uhuru Kenyatta could have prevailed upon Kinyanjui for a major appointment of a Kisii professional.
"It is quite int interesting that we have few Kisii people voting in Kisumu yet we could get such an appointment. We expected same in Nakuru and Nairobi where Jubilee controls."
In the ten member cabinet, Nyong'o appointed Moraa to be in charge of Business, Energy and Industrialization.
