Opposition leader Raila Odinga has accused National Cohesion and Integration Commission of precipitating chaos by targeting opposition strongholds as possible hot spots during elections.

NCIC had released a list of counties mostly perceived as opposition strongholds as the regions to be keenly monitored by the government.

And in a quick response, Odinga accused Francs Kaparo led commission ion of politicizing peace in the country.

“It is wrong for Kaparo to go around claiming that some regions could witness chaos during and after polls,” he said.

“He should tell us the parameters he used to reach such a conclusion. Kenya is a peaceful country unless he is planning chaos with government,” he added.

Both the opposition and government are embroiled in fierce campaigns barely four years after they faced each other in an epic battle.

In 2008, violence broke across the country after the opposition by then led by Raila Odinga disputed the outcome of presidential results.
