Former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga reportedly held a closed door meeting with Ex – British PM Gordon Brown before meeting Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury on Thursday morning.
Details of the three hour – meeting are however unknown with spokesman Dennis Onyango confirming the meeting in an ODM Whatsap group.
“Rt. Hon Raila Odinga held a meeting with Gordon Brown this morning before he proceeded for prayer intervention,” read the message.
The Labour party PM replaced tony Blaire in 2007 before he was unceremoniously beaten by Conservative’s David Cameron.
During his tenure in office, the two leaders met in UK in March 2009 for bilateral talks and later on in 2013 after both had exited from office.
Prior to his flight to London on Wednesday, Odinga had withdrawal from October 26th elections will a section of legal experts warning of serious legal crisis.
He maintains that he will only take part in the elections if IEBC sacks a number of officials among other reforms in what they refer to as ‘irreducible’ minimums.
