Opposition leader Raila Odinga joined other liberal democrats at the 13th Annual General Assembly of the African Liberal Democrat Network at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nairobi.
The African Liberal Democrat Network is an association of parties that subscribe to ideals of Liberal Democracy including social justice, respect for human rights and equity.
The ODM party leader called on Africa’s opposition parties to form a united front to espouse the principles of Liberal Democracy in the continent.
Founded in 2005, the ODM was founded around the popular effort to bring to bear a new Constitution in Kenya, a vision that was eventually achieved in the year 2010.
As a strong supporter of strong parties and institutions in the African context, Odinga pledged his support for the movement across the continent, Wednesday.
