Opposition leader Raila Odinga is keen to mentor Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati to take over control in the city politics, says Gideon Mamboleo.
Even though NASA managed to win a number of seats in the city, they narrowly lost to Jubilee and eventually throwing away city governorship to Mike Sonko.
And allowing Arati to organize most of opposition activities, he says, is an indication that Odinga trusts the leadership of the two terms MP.
“He has been organizing key activities within the city at the time of need now that Governor Evans Kidero lost. This is an indication that he is being prepared for greatness.
“To thrive in Kenyan politics, especially in opposition, you need him at this time and I think he is a great thing in future,” he added.
Before joining national politics, Odinga set his political message in Lang’ata, a constituency he led for over two decades.
Arati, a Kisii born youthful MP, has been organizing demonstrations across the city which attracted large numbers on Wednesday over reforms in the IEBC.
