Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga gas dismissed a section of media reports that opposition outfit NASA has settled on a specific presidential candidate.

A report leaked by a section of media sensationally claimed that Odinga had been proposed as Nasa flag bearer and Kalonzo Musyoka as his deputy.

The report also proposed creation of a Chief Minister position for ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi while Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula would be given speaker of National Assembly should Nasa win.

But on Tuesday Odinga said the opposition team was yet to settle on a candidate ahead of August polls.

“Give us a break!” an angry Odinga said when asked whether the media reports were true during a press conference at ODM headquarters.

“We have not agreed on the lineup. And, naturally, when we do, we will inform you. Do not keep asking us that. The world will not end because we have not agreed,” he said.

Earlier, ODM Secretary General Agnes Zani had maintained that the media report was true, contrary to the reaction from ANC Secretary General Godfrey Osotsi.

“A few aspects and figures were not those of the committee but the lineup agreed reflected what the committee agreed,” said Zani amid protest from ANC wing of NASA.
