Raila Odinga believes the youthful population will propel him to power given their numbers and the roles which they may play in August during voting.
For the fourth time, Odinga will be trying his lack following three unsuccessful outings with the closest coming in 2007.
At Homabay, Odinga urged youths to turnout in large numbers and help him to ensure voter turnout is appealing.
“I agree that it is youths who can define my destiny. I come before you and ask you to help me win this seat for the sake of your future,” he said.
He further added: “You should ensure that everyone votes including those in hospitals. You will also ensure that our votes are dearly guarded.”
To adopt a polling station, NASA has recruited youths who will be tasked to ensure they transmit outcome directly to their parallel tallying centres elsewhere across the country.
According to statistics released by the electoral body IEBC, over 50 percent of the voting population is below the age of 35.
