Governor Jackson Mondago says opposition leader Raila Odinga is keen to topple Jubilee government through unconstitutional means.
Despite IEBC scheduling October 26th as date for repeat poll, Odinga has already withdrawn from the race causing legal confusions in the country.
And to ascend to power, he says, Odinga has reverted to intimidation of constitutional bodies as a plot to cause a crisis that could allow him to take over.
“I want to remind Raila that power is given by people. We will resist his attempts to take over though a coup,” he said.
He further said: “That is why he wants to fly out of the country to perfect his plan and this is completely unacceptable.”
A Nairobi High Court has further cast doubts on October polls after its ruling that Thirdway Alliance candidate Ekuru Aukot to be included in the ballot paper.
Initially, the IEBC had gazetted only Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, a move that has since been dismissed by the court.
