Opposition leader Raila Odinga had a soft spot on Laboso family on Wednesday when he took his campaigns to South rift in Ndanai.
Both the late Lorna Laboso and current Sotik MP Joyce Laboso served in his ODM party before parting way in 2013.
But an emotional Odinga hailed Lorna, who was elected as MP in 2007 before dying on a plane crash and was subsequently replaced by her sister.
“I am not a stranger here because I have come before with Kipkalya Kones and Lorna Laboso. They were my great friends,” recalled Odinga.
“I am not talking about the current Laboso but Lorna. She was a fighter and we have to make her proud by voting for NASA,” he added.
Joyce is eyeing Bomet governorship seat and will be facing NASA fifth principal Isaac Rutto who is defending his seat on CCM party.
Odinga said he will however reward Ms Laboso with an appointment should he win adding that Bomet residents will retain Isaac as their governor.
