National Super Alliance presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga on Tuesday prayed at the Holy temple in Jerusalem, where the Jesus is believed to have prayed during His time on earth.
Odinga, who was unveiled as flag bearer barely a fortnight ago, compared himself to Biblical Joshua who led Israelites to Canaan, a promised land.
The opposition doyen, who has had three unsuccessful attempts on presidency, is set to go for his last and final attempt in August elections.
In 2013, Odinga lost to President Uhuru Kenyatta in a closely contested race and also had his election petition disallowed in the Supreme Court then under retired Chief Justice Willy Mutunga.
And a photo circulating online reportedly emanating from his spokesman Dennis Onyango shows Mr Odinga praying outside the historical Temple.
Understandably, Odinga will be deputized by Kalonzo Musyoka and has since promised to serve as a transitional president should he win in August elections.
Under the same lineup, former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi will serve as Premier Cabinet Secretary and will be deputized by Moses Wetangula and Isaac Rutto.
He is on a one week tour to the Middle East nation and is expected to be back in a week’s time and will subsequently unveil his campaigns.
