Ex-Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale made a dramatic return to national politics after missing in action for several months.

Records show that his last public rally with NASA team dates back in July when he endorsed Wycliffe Wamangati for Bungoma governorship, statement which almost sparked chaos in the Bungoma rally.

Nursing a resounding defeat to Wycliffe Oparanya in governorship, Khalwale however, made a first public appearance in the national limelight in as many weeks.

Before addressing a mammoth rally at Jacaranda, the former Ikolomani MP held a series of talks on the podium with Raila Odinga will were often followed by laughter.

Reports had earlier on indicated that the outspoken legislator was warming for Jubilee Party, a claim his dismissed at the rally.

On Oparanya’s victory, Khalwale said he was disinterested in petitioning and vowed to campaign for Odinga ahead of October elections.

While Khalwale works closely with NASA principal Moses Wetangula, Oparanya is a close ally of Odinga and doubles as his deputy in the ODM party.
