A photo of opposition leader Raila Odinga with Tanzanian President John Magufuli has been made public in ODM National WhatsApp group for the first time.

Hours before the Supreme Court declared President Uhuru Kenyatta validly elected, Odinga flew to Zanzibar where he was reportedly going to take a short holiday.

“The Prime Minister flew briefly to Tanzania for holiday. He will be back soonest to continue with pushing for electoral reforms,” read a statement from Salim Lone.

With details of his unexpected tour still remaining scanty, a section of opposition leaders have been warning that they may swear him next Tuesday.

NASA Secretariat chairman Norman Magaya told reporters on Monday that they will not hesitate to swear Odinga in a parallel ceremony.

“We have so many options left among them swearing him in. We cannot be intimidated by anyone because we know we won in August,” he said.

Although it is not yet clear why Odinga met Magufuli, the two however, share cordial relationship even before that later became president.
