Opposition leader Raila Odinga will tour North Rift, a political bedrock of Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday, Spokesperson Dennis Onyango has revealed.
Odinga is expected to mobilise locals to register in numbers as voters in the ongoing mass voter listing across the country.
His tour comes barely after Deputy President William Ruto toured Bomet, Baringo, Elgeyo-Marakwet and Uasin Gishu Counties.
"The Rt. Hon Odinga will be touring North Rift on Tuesday to molibise Kenyans to register as voters. Residents from those regions are invited to join him," read Onyango's statement.
"He will also tour the troubled Elgeyo-Turkana border and will hold meetings with local leaders over escalating cattle rustling," he added.
The former Prime Minister is expected to land in Kitale- Trans Nzoia County before proceeding to Elgeyo-Marakwet, West Pokot and Turkana counties.
In November last year, Odinga toured the troubled Pokot-Turkana border where he urged locals to maintain peace and unity.
