Lawyer James Orengo insists that opposition leader Raila Odinga will not tire until he overthrows President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
Despite the constitutional provision that allows Odinga to challenge elections outcome in court, Odinga has however reverted to street protests and boycott of products to push for an election.
“Jubilee thinks that we are stupid but what we have started is the genuine toppling of government using the existing law and the constitution,” he said.
In a widely boycotted presidential repeat poll, Odinga withdrew from the race citing incompetency by electoral commission, IEBC.
Addressing thousands of supporters at Jacaranda on Sunday, Orengo said the quest by NASA to take over from Uhuru is ‘real and achievable’.
“Raila has just started a revolution and he has prepared well to overthrow Uhuru by using the constitution and existing laws. Nobody should worry over the same,” he said.
Already, the team which has since changed its name to National Resistance Movement is preparing to receive the veteran leader upon his return from the US.
Further, NASA maintains that its supporters will occupy Jogoo Road from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Thursday when Odinga jets home on Thursday.
