The self-declared People's President Raila Odinga has criticised the Jubilee government following media shutdown that started on January 30.
Three television stations NTV, KTN News and Citizen TV were shutdown for broadcasting the controversial swearing-in of the NASA leader Odinga on Tuesday January 30, despite government warning.
On Thursday, Odinga attacked the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led government, saying it had taken Kenya back to the KANU-era, where Kenyans were ruled under dictatorship. According to him, KANU is back in Kenya but under a new name.
He was addressing the press after leading a NASA Summit on Thursday, which was also attended by co-leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.
He maintained that the coalition was intact and further said that NASA would give a comprehensive statement on Friday, February 2, 2018 on the way forward.
"We cannot change the past but only look forward to a stronger united future," he said.
