President Donald Trump’s top envoy to Kenya Robert Godec is said to have been denied audience by opposition leader Raila Odinga twice as October 26th presidential repeat date nears.

Through Godec, America has tried to reach both NASA and Jubilee to drop their hardline positions ahead of repeat elections.

But Odinga, who in the past accused the envoys of rubber stumping the August presidential outcome which was nullified by the Supreme Court, is said not to be interested with the demands from West.

“Godec personally has been seeking his audience but Odinga is disinterested. The envoy has done it twice with no success,” says a source who spoke in confidence.

“He wants the irreducible minimums to be implemented and does not want to talk to US since it has already shown her position.”

Last week, a tough talking Godec warned both political divide on stiff sanctions from US should they continue sabotaging IEBC, statements which were however downplayed by lawyer James Orengo.

In his quest for credible elections, Odinga wants IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba suspended among other officials within the secretariat over gross misconduct in August polls.
