Opposition leader Raila Odinga has slammed the decision by Ex-Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto to join Jubilee, terming it ‘misguided’.
After several weeks of silence, Rutto joined Jubilee leaders in Kapkatet where he pledged to support President Uhuru Kenyatta.
At Mlolongo, in indirect reference to Rutto, Odinga said Jubilee’s decision to recruit ‘failures’ will not help them win October elections.
“Some people are joining Jubilee, the same party that has openly raped the rights of Kenyans. I am disappointed that they are going back to Egypt.
“Jubilee is busy recruiting failures thinking that they will beat us. We are steady and all change loving Kenyans will still vote for NASA,” Odinga said.
Recently at Mathare, NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula maintained that Governor Rutto would start making appearances in opposition rallies.
But the move may not be a surprise given that NASA had reached former Meru governor Peter Munya, who has been tasked to mobilize Mt. Kenya region ahead of October.
