Raila Odinga maintains his tour to Zanzibar Islands was not secretive adding that he used right channels to fly out of the country.
Although it is not yet clear why he left the country days after jetting in from US, Odinga maintains that the government is ‘scared’ over nothing.
“Odinga’s trip to Zanzibar was not secret. It happened through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in full glare of Uhuru’s police and NIS,” said his confident Junet Mohammed.
He added’: “Kenya Airways stuff leaked flight reservations a further indication that we had nothing at all to hide from.”
At Zanzibar, details about his short tour remains scanty and Junet insist that the veteran leader took a break from active politics.
The opposition team maintains that they will proceed with plans to swear in Odinga when President Uhuru Kenyatta takes oath on Tuesday.
