Former Bondo Member of Parliament Oburu Oginga has denied reports that he recently negotiated an election pact on behalf of NASA  with Jubilee Party.

According to Oburu, the reports are outrageous and aimed at his reputation as he plans to retire from politics.

Oburu who is the elder brother of NASA leader Raila Odinga said he holds no "serious position" in NASA that would warrant his partcipation in any talks on behalf of the opposition.

“It is not true that Uhuru sent anybody to me for the discussions,” he said on Tuesday, adding he is a "veteran politician who cannot spit words aimlessly".

He has promised to seek legal redress over the matter on Wednesday.

He said those behind the reports "have ruffled feathers within NASA and among supporters."

He made the remarks on Tuesday morning during an interview on Radio Mayienga FM.

Earlier reports had indicated that Oburu had met with a number of JUbilee leaders to striuck a deal on behalf of NASA that will end the current political stalemate.
