The opposition leader has taken his rally to Kibera where, in the company of other leaders, he has been addressing supporters.
Earlier, Odinga addressed supporters in Mayanja after police denied him access to the Jacaranda Stadium where he was expected to address his supporters.
Pandemonium broke out in Mayanja after Odinga had spoken and had invited Musalia Mudavadi to address the crowd when gunshots were had.
Tear gas canisters were lobbed as police swung into action in an attempt to disperse the crowd.
In Kibera, the leaders who spoke made clear that Odinga will be sworn in on December 12.
''They have sworn in their president. We will also swear in our president on December 12.'' A combative Gladys Wanga said.
