Historian Professor Nyachieo Bogonko has projected a first round victory by opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Having made three unsuccessful attempts to the top seat, Odinga is determined to pull a major shock in the country on Tuesday.
And Bogonko says dwindling economy, unemployment and corruption would be major parameters and Kenyans will use against Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.
“Jubilee failed to tackle corruption, high cost of living and unemployment and these factors would lead to even protest votes from his strongholds.
“This is Odinga’s to lose by the fact that he is now strong due to ability to convince Musalia Mudavadi not to run. It is going to be an easy victory,” he says.
Although both presidential hopefuls maintain that they will win, various pollsters suggest a run off due to inability of them to meet constitutional thresholds.
Recently, Infrotrack projected Odinga’s victory at 49 percent with Uhuru Scoring 47 percent with just a week to elections.
