Dubbed the 'White Hat Clarion', the campaign will target youths to ensure peace during the polls.

According to Odinga, the youth form majority of the Kenyan population, and is important they stand for peace.

The campaign will officially be launched today, Friday, which will also mark the celebration of Saba Saba Day.

It will ‘signal the onset of a people-led peaceful revolution to reclaim Kenya's lost glory’.

Saba Saba is an important day in Kenya's history as it heralded the quest for multi-party democracy in the 1990s.

This culminated in the repeal of Section 2 (a) of the Constitution in 1991 to allow multi-party democracy in Kenya.

Young people will meet at Uhuru Park in Nairobi once a week to pray for peace, which will be the last phase of the NASA campaign.

“Commemoration of Saba Saba will take Kenyan youths on a liberation journey on August 8,” Raila said.

“We have asked our youths to turn up on Friday wearing white caps and handkerchiefs at Uhuru Park and Kamukunji grounds as we mark Saba Saba,” Raila added.
