With just less than a week to General elections, Opposition leader Raila Odinga has been projected to win regions which have been his traditional support base.

A tough contest is expected between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta following projections by various pollsters that both candidates could gain from rejections perceived to be hostile to them.

Nyanza, Western, Coast, Nairobi and Eastern regions are projected to vote overwhelmingly for Odinga while his candidature does not appeal to people of Rift Valley, Central and North Eastern regions.

However, Odinga is said to have gained substantially in Rift valley and North Eastern regions despite the fact that he may not beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in those area.

AA tough contest could be witnessed on Tuesday with Infortrack Projecting Odinga’s victory at 49 percent with Kenyatta coming close at 48 percent.

This is the will be the second contest between the two leaders barely five years after Odinga narrowly lost to Kenyatta in another epic contest.
