Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen believes that NASA principal Kalonzo Musyoka has minimal chances to contest for presidency adding that Raila Odinga will still try his 'luck' in 2022.
Kalonzo, who jetted back to the country last week, has thretened to be sworn-in with Odinga as president should Jubilee fail to embrace dialogue.
With Deputy President William Ruto also keen to go for presidency, Murkomen now wants Musyoka to prepare to be Odinga's running mate yet again in 2022.
"The truth is that Odinga will be running for president in 2022 against front runner, William Ruto," said Murkomen.
He further told the Sunday Nation: "Kalonzo has a decision to make; either he becomes himself and charts his own political path or fights for running mate position with Musalia Mudavadi."
Odinga,72, has tried four times unsuccessfully to be president and for the last three editions, he has accused state operatives of rigging him out.
But a Memorandum of Understanding when crafting NASA, will however, not allow Odinga to run as president unless he breaches it which will automatically lead to natural death of NASA.
