Opposition leader Raila Odinga says he will not hesitate to defend the judiciary should Jubilee continue sabotaging its independence.
Since the annulment of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory, a host of leaders led by Uhuru have accused the institution of allegedly dancing to the tune of the opposition.
At Siaya on Saturday, Odinga said the judiciary was unfairly targeted by forces who understand ‘little’ about reforms.
“Those fighting the judiciary understands nothing about reforms and probably have never been part of our history,” he said, adding that NASA will stand to defend the third arm of government.
He added:”I dare them to continue with these habits. We shall rise up and face them head – on. Kenya has come a long way and we can’t allow few people to antagonize.
Two judges, Isaac Lenaola and Philomena Mwilu are already facing petition on alleged misconduct with Jubilee party keen to have them relieved off their duties.
Also, Chief Justice David Maraga was facing a similar suite in which Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu had accused him of misconduct.
